Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, head of Iran’s seminary made some remarks in a meeting with the members of Sistan and Baluchistan province student representative assembly which was held in the seminary director's office in Qom on Sunday during which he said,” seminaries should pay attention to the empowerment of elites and in this regard, to empower the elites of Sistan and Baluchistan province, efforts should be made to prevent the enemies from reaching their goals in the region.”

He continued, "Difference and discrimination in the matter of providing services to different regions of Iran is obvious and all governments with different intellectual and political views are to blame for the shortcomings of deprived regions, and I believe that it is an objective and obligation for anyone to make serious efforts for the development of such regions from all aspects of culture, economy, urban development, etc.”

He said,” We must strengthen the position of pure Islam every day, because the enemy is trying to destroy the unifying discourse among Islamic sects.”

Ayatollah Arafi pointed out,” Islamic seminaries are not at the level of what the world wants, of course, with all the work they do, they are far from the ideal situation, and with all the progress made so far, the seminaries should lead the intellectual and cultural system as well as the society.”

Ayatollah Arafi said,” The Management Center of seminaries in Iranian provinces has focused on two main strategies of assigning authority with the supervision of the seminary and in the second stage, upgrading this authority according to the needs of the region; I have paid special attention to several deprived provinces in Iran since I took office.”
