In this meeting, the head of Qom seminary teachers' society compared media to military war and said, “The enemy has focused its capital and power on the media as a powerful and effective weapon in the direction of a cognitive and perceptual war. In a media war, unlike a military war, the enemy attacks thoughts, ideals and perceptions.”

Friday Prayer Imam of Qom city considered it necessary to use the capacity of the media in order to institutionalize religious values and stated,” The establishment of the University of Radio and Television was aimed at establishing a relationship between religion and the media and in order to achieve a media that can play a role in conveying the message of religion; Therefore, it is necessary to be careful in selecting students and professors so that the level of work can be improved by bringing in elements that have the right motivations.”

The Secretary of the Supreme Council of Seminaries highlighted Late Imam Khomeini's statement that radio and television is a public university and stated,” The media, including oral, visual and auditory, can cause the growth and excellence of a society; Therefore, only people should enter the University of Radio and Television whose goal is to improve the level of culture and thought of the society and who have the necessary talent and taste with mental health.”
