Hawzah News Agency- Antoine Bara, a Kuwaiti researcher and journalist said in an interview with Hawzah News that Enemies and ill-wishers have tried to question the reality of Imams (PBUH) in various ways over the years, but they have never succeeded in achieving this goal. We also see that followers of every religion and ritual are fond of the Commander of the Faithful (PUHB) and other imams, especially Imam Hussein (PBUH).”
He added, “A part of the treachery of the Islam’s adversaries can be seen in the Ashura incident, but were they able to destroy the cause of Imam Hussain (PBUH) on Ashura Day? The answer is definitely no, Ashura is alive and the lovers of Abu Abdullah (PBUH) still love him, so I say again that adversaries will never be able to undermine Imams.”
The Kuwaiti journalist emphasized that another part of the betrayal of the biased people goes back to the day of Saqifah. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) clearly announced in Ghadir Khumm that Amir al-Momenin Imam Ali (PBUH) is his successor for leadership, but they did not want to accept this with false excuses, but the existence of the blessed Commander of the Faithful (PBUH) is bright in the hearts of all of us; of course, in the Ghadir International Conference in Mashhad, we see that there are people who love and respect Imam Ali (PBUH) from other religions as well.
In response to the question whether the presence of Amir al- Momenin (PBUH) can be used to consolidate Islamic unity, he stated, “Ghadir Khumm is a defining factor in the direction of reaching unity, so if good scientific and cultural programs are organized around this event, the results and achievements will be significant. The International Ghadir conference will definitely take a step in this direction.
At the end, Antoine Barra concluded by saying that cultural and artistic programs need support. In my opinion, such events should have an international form, but in the meantime, extremism should be avoided and the main goal should be unity among Muslims. This is possible by placing Ghadir as the axis, so we should make the necessary efforts in this regard.
