The Assyrians have always had a loving and brotherly life with Muslims from the distant past.

Hawzah News Agency – According to the correspondent of the seminary in Tehran, the representatives of the director of seminaries in the country attended the Assyrian Association of Iran.

The meeting was attended by Hosseini Kouhsari, head of the Center for International Relations of Seminaries, Amin Din, director of the Office of inter religious of the seminaries.

At the beginning, Mr. Betkolia, while welcoming and thanking the guests for their presence, stated: The Assyrians have always had a loving and brotherly life with Muslims from the distant past. I remember when I was a child living in a village in Urmia, Muslims supported us when the Turks invaded Iran, and vice versa, when the Russians invaded Iran, we supported them. Imam Ali (as) signed a treaty with our ancestors, which is now kept in the Chehelston Museum in Isfahan. In my opinion, this document is an international charter that should be translated into different languages and communicated to the people of the world.

He said: "According to research, the Assyrians are so old that the letters of the alphabet are taken from the language and even Assyria." The Assyrians were the first nation to embrace Christianity and did much to develop it around the world. At the beginning of Islam, there were Assyrians who translated the sources and transferred the sciences to Islamic lands.

Also, Hojjatoleslam Hosseini Kouhsari, head of the Center for Communication and International Affairs of seminaries, while congratulating the New Year, said: "We have three approaches to religions in the seminary: first, recognizing religions, second, talking to religions and third, developing cooperation between religions."

He added: "We believe that if we unite, many human problems can be solved, such as the environmental crisis and the family crisis;" Because today's world is tired of loneliness and tired of being empty of spirituality.

It should be mentioned that at the end of the meeting, the congratulatory message of the esteemed director of the seminaries along with some memorials and gifts were presented to the president of the Assyrian Association of Iran.
