Hawzah News Agency –Deputy Head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council Sheikh Ali Daamoush stressed that US policies are the main causes behind the financial and economic collapse Lebanon has been witnessing in the latest months.

During a Friday sermon, Sheikh Daamoush said the Lebanese Banks are totally controlled by the US treasury and abide by its measures.

“Tragedies which took place in Lebanon throughout the years were overseen by the US administration and Lebanese corrupt politicians and journalists were backed by Washington.”

“Despite all that, the US now pressures Lebanon and impose blockade on Lebanon rather than offering help to the country,” Sheikh Daamoush was quoted as saying by local media.

He noted that the aim of US pressures is to force Lebanese to yield to its demands related to abandoning Resistance, oil, demarcation of maritime borders and naturalization of Palestinian refugees.

“The US, through its presence in the region, seeks to secure the Zionist entity to keep it as one of its main tools here.”
