Hawzah News Agency – On the occasion of the approaching days of the Parliament of the World's Religions, a meeting entitled "Introduction to the Parliament of World's Religions" was organized by the Office of Religions and Denominations of the Center for the deputy of International realations in Islamic Seminaries in Qom.

This workshop was held with the aim of introducing the parliament of the world's religions and getting acquainted with the structure of the event and also explaining the importance of participating in it.

Those interested in this topic were able to participate in this workshop, which was held in English, virtually and in person (in accordance with health protocols).

Hojjatoleslam Baqer Talebi Darabi, a member of the faculty of the University of Religions and Denominations, as a professor of this course, spoke about the goals and important position of th Parliament of the World's Religions and the way it is held, as well as the importance of effective participation in this parliament.

He who has participated in this parliament in 2004, Spain, and 2009, Australia, while criticizing lack of participation of Iranian religious and cultural institutions in the parliament of world's religions due to fear caused by ignorance, emphasized on the widespread impact of the active presence of Shiite institutions and figures in international religious gatherings such as the parliament on introducing  Shia Islam to the leaders and followers of other religions, denominations and sects.

The second session of this workshop timing of which will be announced later will be held after 2021 World Parliament of Religions with the subject of evaluation of 2021 event.
