Arbaeen commemoration ceremony in New Delhi

The sad occasion of the 40th of Martyrdom of the Lord of the Martyrs, Imam Hussein (AS) was commemorated for two consecutive nights at the Iranian Cultural House in Indian capital New Delhi, attended by Iranian Ambassador, embassy staff and other Iranians working in various institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India.

Hawzah News Agency - The sad occasion of the 40th of Martyrdom of the Lord of the Martyrs, Imam Hussein (AS) was commemorated for two consecutive nights at the Iranian Cultural House in Indian capital New Delhi, attended by Iranian Ambassador, embassy staff and other Iranians working in various institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India.

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), during the ceremony which was also shown in the cyberspace, in addition to reading the Arba"een salutatory prayer (Ziarat Arba"een), Iranian Deputy Cultural Attaché to New Delhi, Mr. Ghazve and representative of the Sa"di Foundation, Shokrali read some poems about Arba"een and then the representative of the Supreme Leader in New Delhi , Hojatoleslam Mahdavipor elaborated on the profound meaning of Ziarat Arba"een and the role played by the ignorance and deviation of people of the Iraqi city of Kufa in martyrdom of Imam Hussein  (AS) and impact of the Karbala Uprising on the political and cultural developments of the Islamic Ummah, following that tragic event.
