Hawzah News Agency - Iranian university professor, Mohammad Shoja’ee, has called Arba’een ceremony a unique incident marked by followers of different religions, in an online event on the theme of “a different Arba’een” as the annual ritual is to be held under certain restrictions due to the new coronavirus .

In an online meeting held on the eve of Arba’een, 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Mohammad Shija’ee referred to participation of different religions in one of the greatest religious marches as the people do not believe that the third Shia Imam belongs only to the Shia Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to participation of Christians, Jews and Zoroastrians loyal to Imam Hussein (AS) and said,” One should ask why should followers of different religions from different racial, ethnical, ideological and language backgrounds unite to express their respect and love a Shia Imam.”

Mohammad Shoja’ee called Arba’een as an international manifest belonging to all religions.

Iranian university professor called on the Shia Muslims across the globe to mark one of the most glorious ceremonies for Arba’een maintaining the health protocols against the new coronavirus.

Muslims and those loyal to the third Shia Imam attend the great march of Arba’een which marks 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).

This year however the ceremony is restricted to the local people in Iraq due to the new coronavirus pandemic which has imposed restriction on nearly all gatherings.
