The full text of the interview:

1.    When was the relationship between Haj Qasim and al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance formed?

The secretary-general of al-Nujaba treated Haj Qasim Suleymani as a soldier behaves to his commander and a student to his teacher; it was the relationship of a wise person with the representative of the leader of Muslims, and it was based on affection, respect and appreciation.

Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi was one of the first combatants who met Haj Qasim and they dealt with the concerns of the Islamic Ummah, and in the final meeting among this eminent martyr and al-Nujaba secretary-general and commanders, they once again discussed such issues.

You should know that the true founder of al-Nujaba Islamic Movement is the late commander of Quds Corps.

2.    In your opinion, what was the distinguishing characteristic of Haj Qasim Soleymani that enabled him to have a friendly and faithful relationship with Shia, Kurds, Sunnis, Turkmens, Arabs and non-Arabs and make him popular among all Iraqis?

- Certainly, Haj Qasim was a commander whose distinctive characteristics gave him a high position among different walks of life in Iraq, his best characteristics are his benevolence and devotion, and it made God bestow upon him the heartfelt love and respect of people, as “The one who works for Heaven, Heaven succours him”.

3.    Some people considered regaining Mosul from the ISIS as inaccessible. How could the forces of the Islamic Resistance defeat the ISIS using the supports and advice of martyrs Haj Qasim and Abu Mehdi?

- Such people indeed didn’t believe in God, the Sublime; to them, the terrorist group was too strong to be defeated.

- However, a part of such belief was right, as the whole world backed up the ISIS; anyway, several factors contributed to the defeat of the group. The will of the believing combatants is an instance of such factors, the determination that was created by two great martyrs, Haj Qasim and Abu Mehdi al-Muhandis, and I observed this myself.

- The other factor was the blessed Fatwa of the Iraqi source of emulation, Grand Ayatollah Sistani and supports of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We ask God to protect this country and its leader for Muslims against the evils of the time.

- Indeed, the planning of operations by the great commander, Shahid Haj Qasim Soleymani and the soldier of Islam, Shahid Abu Muhandis, was the principal factor contributing to many victories against the ISIS.
