Hawzah News Agency – Q: Blind people use a script called Braille for reading and writing on which they pass their fingers. Is it necessary for the blind, while learning the Noble Qur’an and also while touching the sacred names written in Braille to have wuḍū’?

A: If the protruding dots are signs for the original letters, the ruling of the letters is not applicable to them. But, if, according to the view of informed people, they are considered as script, it is necessary to observe caution in touching them.
