Hawzah News Agency - (Mashhad - Iran) - Imam Hussein’s (AS) movement and school of thought was the theme of a specialized meeting organized by the Foreign Pilgrims’ Affairs Office for a group of Iraqi scholars and cultural activists at Room 23 of Bab al-Hadi courtyard of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine.

During the meeting, Mohammad Amin Rouhaninejad, the lecturer and researcher at Razavi University of Islamic Sciences, stated that the center of all Islamic affairs must be Imam Hussein (AS) and that his uprising came from a Divine power, through which he intended to immortalize the message of Islam and the goals of the Prophet (pbuh).

“Ashura uprising guarantees the survival of Islam. It has such an influence that after 1400 years not only the Shia Islam, but also all religions and sects resort to the Imam, and mourn for him and his companions,” he said.

He pointed out that the influence, grandeur and spirituality of this event is the purest slogan of justice and freedom and Imam Hussein (AS) is the cause of unity among all the nations. “His lovers come from all countries to visit his shrine in Karbala, so it is the duty of all Shia Muslims to clarify his message to prevent misrepresentations and distortion of religion.”

Referring to the role of Ashura movement in the Islamic Revolution, Rouhaninejad commented that Imam Hussein’s uprising brought many messages and lessons. “Inspired by Ashura, Imam Khomeini founded a movement to enlighten people and defeat the enemy.”

According to him, sacrifice, piety and confidence were key factors to make this revolution more outstanding than other movements and the combatants of Islam fought to realize those values.
