Hawzah News Agency - (Mashhad  - Iran) - Astan Quds Razavi has planned to host on Monday September 16th an international conference to venerate Arbaeen servants at Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine in Mashhad, AQR’s vice custodian Mostafa Khaksar Qahrudi announced in a press briefing.

Elaborating on the goals of the conference, Qahrudi said: “The gathering is held to consolidate Muslim brotherhood among Imam Hussain’s (AS) servants, to have consultations and sympathy among Mavakib (accommodation tents) owners, to exchange experiences of Arba’een activists, and to show unity and solidarity among Sunni and Shia Muslims”.

AQR’s vice custodian went on to say: “Astan Quds Razavi will participate in the rally as a national and international organization. It does not seek administrative role in the rally but only strives to support and facilitate popular initiatives”.

“The main burden of service rendering to the Arba’een pilgrims was always on Iraqi Mavakib owners in the past; during recent years, Mavakib owners from other countries have joined Iraqi activists at the border crossings or inside Iraq to show consolidation of unity and sympathy among regional Muslim nations”,  Khaksar Qahrudi noted.

Highlighting the need for more coordination and experience exchange among owners of Mavakib, Qahrudi stated: “The conference follows fulfillment of synergy and better service to the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (AS) as its main goal”.

The conference will be held with the participation of 1200 Mavakib owners from Iran and Iraq at Imam Khomeini (RA) portico of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine on Monday September 16th, 2019.

The international conference will also see AQR’s chief custodian Hoj. Ahmad Marvi and representative of Iraqi Mavakib owners as keynote speakers.
