Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU)

Speaking among participants of the Second International Seminar of Arba'een Activists, the deputy cultural affairs of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), Hoj. Seyyed Hashem al-Heidari.

Hawzah News Agency - (Mashhad - Iran) - All Mawakib (accommodation tents) serving Imam Hussein’s (AS) pilgrims during Arbaeen march must be messengers of Arbaeen and movement of Ashura.

Speaking among participants of the Second International Seminar of Arba'een Activists, the deputy cultural affairs of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), Hoj. Seyyed Hashem al-Heidari said without Hazrat Zeinab’s presence in Ashura, there would be no Karbala.

He added: "It was Hazrat Zeinab (SA) who could keep Karbala tragedy alive with her faith and braveness and it is now our duty to be messengers of the event."

He prioritized spiritual aspects of Arbaeen march over its surrounding mundane affairs and said, all Mawakib must focus on expanding message of Arbaeen rather than providing pilgrims with food and water only.

Reminding days when Iraqi Mawakib owners went to fight with ISIS instead of setting up their accommodation tents, al-Heidari said: "They went to fight with the enemies of the Household of the Prophet (Pbuh) as Arbaeen will have no fruit without resistance."

Referring to the brave resistance of Iranian young soldiers alongside PMU fighters, he said: "Arba'een is defined within the framework of resistance front."

Defense and Jihad in Samara, Shalamcheh, Lebanon, Syria, Quds, Iran, and these days in Yemen,  has changed the situation in a way that the slogan of “every day is Ashura and every land is Karbala” can be fully meaningful today, al-Heidari said.

The PMU official put an end to his remarks by saying that "we will be asked on the Day of Judgment about Syria and Yemen. Our main ordeal during Arba'een is to support Yemen as we did someday for Syria and Iraq."

The Second International Seminar of Arba'een Activists was held at Quds Auditorium of Razavi holy shrine with Iranian and Iraqi political and religious figures in attendance.
