Explaining about the Islamic Research Foundation's approach toward bringing together the schools of thought, Hoj. Seyyed Mahmoud Marvian Hosseini, considered the resistance strategy in cultural fields.

Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad, Iran) - The Islamic Research Foundation of Astan Quds Razavi has clarified the strategy of cultural resistance for eight Shia and eighteen Sunni Friday prayer leaders from Iraq.

Explaining about the Islamic Research Foundation's approach toward bringing together the schools of thought, Hoj. Seyyed Mahmoud Marvian Hosseini, considered the resistance strategy in cultural fields as a viable and necessary one for promotional activities in the modern era.

He urged the Shia and Sunni Friday prayer leaders to undertake scientific research and field work to promote the awareness of the younger generation, and also present their written works for review, publication and translation into various languages.

“Before my travel to the Islamic Republic of Iran, through the poisoned Zionist and Salafi propaganda, I was convinced that there was not even a single Sunni mosque in Iran," said Molavi Saremi, one of the guests of the meeting, adding "Today, however, I was informed that there are hundreds of Sunni mosques in Khorasan Province, and every Friday, in the shrine city of Mashhad alone, five Friday prayers are performed by Sunni brothers”.

Furthermore, Friday prayer leader of Torbat-e-Jam expressed his pleasure to live in the Islamic Republic, and considering the presence of Iranian Sunnis within the borders, he called it their duty to protect the borders of an Islamic state.

“The number of Sunni schools in Khorasan area before the Islamic Revolution was roughly seven belonging to men only, which has now reached more than thirty after the Islamic Revolution," he added. According to him, there are currently over 3000 Sunni seminary students, both men and women who are studying religious sciences with the same support and privileges as Shia scholars,” he added.
