Mosque in Spanish enclave Ceuta comes under gun attack

Unknown assailants open fire on Muley el Mehdi mosque, no casualties reported

Hawzah News Agency - (Ceuta - Spain) - A mosque in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in the North Africa, was attacked on the wee hours of Monday, a local media reported.

People were praying inside the Muley el Mehdi mosque, known as the largest of Ceuta, when it became the target of at least four gunshots fired by unknown assailants.

One or two people are suspected for the attack, according to the EFE.

No casualties were reported, police launched a probe into the incident.

Muslims consist around 43% of Ceuta's population, which is located on African side of the Strait of Gibraltar.
