Hawzah News Agency (London - UK) - 1,000 people are expected to take part in the evening meal, hosted jointly by the Ramadan Tent Project (RTP) and the House of Lords.

RTP, a community-based social enterprise, has hosted a series of open iftars in partnership with organisations such as Westminster Abbey and Wembley Stadium.

Members of staff from the Lords Administration will be volunteering at the public event, and Lord Dubs (Labour) will deliver the keynote speech for the evening.

All tickets for the event have now all been allocated, but further events in the series are planned until Monday 3 June.
