With full-buffet Suhoor, Irish hotel surprises only Muslim guest

In Ramadan, adult Muslims, save the sick and those traveling, abstain from food, drink, smoking and sex between dawn and sunset.

Hawzah News Agency (Dublin, Ireland) – An Irish hotel’s generous gesture towards its only Muslim guest has gone viral on the internet after the hotel staff surprised him with a full buffet suhoor.

It started when a Muslim guest, who is currently observing Ramadan fasting, requested a snack from the staff at the Ibis Hotel in Dublin, Ireland so that he could eat something before beginning his fast.

They agreed and asked him to come down at 2.30am. To his surprise, they had laid out a full buffet for him and said that was the least they could do.

“A Muslim colleague asked our hotel if they could give him a snack before he began his fast. They said ok, please come down at 2.30 am. When he went, he found a FULL BUFFET BREAKFAST laid out. The hotel said it was the least they could do. be proud of Ibis Dublin,” read a tweet by Twitter user.

“He was the only person there. Humanity is still alive amidst all the hatred,” he added.

The tweet has been liked over 62,000 times and received more than 13,000 comments.

Ramadan is the holiest month in the Islamic calendar.

Other Muslims reflected on similar gestures of kindness they experienced in different hotels during Ramadan.
