Indonesian cultural activists, academicians visit Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine

On the sidelines of his pilgrimage, Meftah Rahmat, leader of the group, said: “Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine is a very sacred place awakening man’s sense of worship.”

Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad - Iran) - A 66-person group of cultural activists and professors from the University of Indonesia have paid a visit to the Astan Quds Razavi central museum and Quran treasury after a pilgrimage of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine.

On the sidelines of his pilgrimage, Meftah Rahmat, leader of the group, said: “Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine is a very sacred place awakening man’s sense of worship.”

Pointing to his own experience in the shrine, he said: “I cannot describe the kind of spiritual feeling I got during this trip to Mashhad.”

The Indonesian professor added: “I saw copies of hand-written Holy Quran attributed to the infallible Imams namely Imam Ali (AS), Imam Hassan (AS), and Imam Reza (AS) while visiting Astan Quds Razavi’s Quran Museum.”

He further noted: “In my opinion, these works are really valuable and beautiful and they have to be kept well so that next generation can take the advantage of these invaluable treasures as well”. 

The Indonesian group also attended some other cultural programs including video clips on performing pilgrimage and on Imam Reza’s (AS) character and conduct, lectures on customs of Imam Reza’s (AS) pilgrimage accompanied by some cultural gifts granted to them.
