AQR announces programs for first ten days of Muharram at Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine

The statement was made by Hoj. Hossein Shariatinejad, the deputy in charge of Islamic publicity of Astan Quds Razavi.

Hawzah News Agency - (Mashhad - Iran) -  Given the mass presence of pilgrims at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in the first ten days of Muharram, Astan Quds Razavi (AQR), the body in charge of the holy shrine, has prepared many cultural and religious programs for them.

The statement was made by Hoj. Hossein Shariatinejad, the deputy in charge of Islamic publicity of Astan Quds Razavi.

According to him, more than 20 sessions of lectures and speeches on Imam Hussein’s (AS) wisdom will be held daily in the presence of prominent lecturers in the porticos of Imam Khomeini, Dar al-Hojjah, Dar al-Ejabeh, Hazrat Zahra (SA), Nahavandi and Milani.

He further noted that Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Alamolhoda, Ayatollah Mohsen Kazerouni, Hoj. Mohammad Bagher Farzaneh, Mohammad Reza Rezaei Tehrani, Vahid Hojjati, Hossein Halvaian, Seyyed Mahmoud Madani, Ghasem Soori, Seyyed Jafar Tabatabai, Reza Ali Azizi, Seyyed Reza Akrami, Morteza Hamidi and Ali Asghar Fazeli will be among the speakers during the first ten days of Muharram at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).

The deputy in charge of Islamic publicity added: “Before and after each lecture, scholars and eulogists of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) will give lectures on the virtues of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions.”

Programs on schedule at the holy shrine

Shariatinejad went on to say: “Special mourning programs for Imam Hussein (AS) during the first ten days of Muharram will be held every day after morning prayers, before and after noon and Maghrib prayers in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).”

He said: “There will also be eulogy and mourning programs with the participation of prominent scholars and eulogists in a special program named "Glory of Sacrifice" at Imam Khomeini portico, Goharshad mosque and porticos of Dar al-Hojjah and Hazrat Zahra (SA) of the holy shrine.”
