Women in Mosques development programme ۲۰۱۹

The training sessions of WIMDP included topics such as leadership traits and self-awareness, 6 hats theory for problem solving, jurisprudence and theological aspects of women in mosques. WIMDP is an annual leadership development programme aiming to develop upcoming female leaders to become the mosque trustees, volunteers, and so on.

Hawzah News Agency (London, UK) - The Women in Mosques Development Programme (WIMDP) kicked-off on 20-21 July 2019 with a residential training session with 20 upcoming female leaders joining from across the UK, including Manchester, Lancashire, Yorkshire, London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Sheffield, Belfast and more!

The training sessions included topics such as leadership traits and self-awareness, 6 hats theory for problem solving, jurisprudence and theological aspects of women in mosques, and public speaking techniques. Attendees also benefited from a session with Islamic Scholar, Shaykh Mohammad Akram Nadwi.  

 

 

WIMDP was first piloted in 2018 and is now in its second year in 2019. It is an annual leadership development programme aiming to develop upcoming female leaders to become the mosque trustees, committee members, volunteers and centre managers of the future. The project is kindly supported by Islamic Relief.
