The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom have praised the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) for shooting down a trespassing American surveillance drone over the country’s southern territorial waters.
On June 20, 2019, the IRGC shot down a United States RQ-4A Global Hawk BAMS-D surveillance drone with a Khordad-3 surface-to-air missile over the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian officials claimed that the drone violated their airspace, while American officials claimed that the drone was in international airspace.

In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
As a powerful political system, the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran has a thorough understanding of the policies of the United States and the arrogant front and considers the dramatic and hypocritical remarks by American officials as media and political rhetoric. In this regard, Iran deeply believes that the only effective and rational strategy to combat the United States is active resistance and revolutionary diplomacy.
A real and pure example of revolutionary diplomacy is the explicit, clear and wise statements made by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, during his meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan [Abe Shinzō], which foiled Trump's devious plot which was presented under the cover of fraudulent diplomacy. Once again, he demonstrated a few of the blessings of the Supreme Leader and Wilayat al-Faqih al-Mutlaqah (Absolute Guardianship of the Jurisprudent) in protecting the Islamic Revolution and Islam. This revolutionary approach, along with military and defensive power, in turn, has made Iran an influential player in the developments in the region and the world.
In this regard, the downing of the modern and costly American spy drone, which is only one corner of the strength and advancement of the defence industry and the defence of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, showed that the accurate, precise and entirely Iranian-produced missiles will neutralize all forms of aggression and threats and the enemies will be forced to retreat. Now the United States has realized that the option of war and threats will not have any effect on the resistance of the Iranian nation and Iran will not leave any threat at any level unanswered. With the downing of the advanced American drone, Iran's message of missile power was communicated to the entire world once again and the sleep of Israel and the regional branch of the arrogant powers was disturbed.
The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom offers its appreciation and thanks to the IRGC for their decisive and revolutionary action, especially the powerful Aerospace Force of the IRGC. The arrogant regime of the United States and its allies know that Iran’s ground, sea and sky borders are in the hands of the powerful armed forces of Iran, which provides the most secure and stable position for the allies and peoples of this land and a formidable and hellish battlefield for the aggressors and malicious people.
