Restoration of iconic Omani mosque complete

Al Homouda Mosque is considered to be one of the most distinctive and unique mosques in the Sultanate and enjoys a unique geometric shape with 52 domes

Hawzah News Agency (Muscat, Oman) –The Ministry of Heritage and Culture has completed restoration of one of the most unique mosques in the country.

In a statement online, the Ministry announced the completion of maintenance work on the Al Homouda Mosque "Jamaa Al Qabaab" in Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali.

The mosque which dates back to the 17th century AD is located in the governorate of Southern Sharqiyah.

According to the Ministry, "It is considered to be one of the most distinctive and unique mosques in the Sultanate and enjoys a unique geometric shape with 52 domes."
