This year, World Halal Day will be held in Russia for the first time. The right to conduct large-scale events received the Samara region. From 3 to 5 October, representatives of dozens of countries will arrive in the region. These are heads of large retail chains, businessmen, and experts in the field of Islamic finance.
“Holding the Halal Day will promote the export of Samara enterprises to the countries of the Middle East, the Persian Gulf, and the Arab world. In addition, we plan to attract investors from Islamic countries to implement projects in the Samara region,” the acting president said. Victor Kudryashov, the head of the region’s government.
The highlight of the WHD will be the holding of the Volga Investment Summit. More than 500 participants will gather to discuss the state of the Halal industry, share the experience of successful implementation of investment projects, learn about financial market trends. Preparations for the summit are in full swing. A preliminary program of events has already been formed, a brand has been developed, and an event website has been launched.
According to the organizers, Halal Day will be held on three venues at once: The Opera and Ballet Theater, the Lotte Hotel, and the Kuybyshev Square, where the Halal Products Fair will be held.
