Islamic Festival in Jackson "geared toward non-Muslims" to promote unity, understanding

The International Museum of Muslim Cultures in Jackson, Mississippi, America’s first Islamic history and culture museum hosted a 4th annual Islamic Heritage.

Hawzah News Agency (Mississippi, US) – The International Museum of Muslim Cultures hosted a 4th annual Islamic Heritage Festival Saturday in Jackson.

An organizer said "this is primarily geared toward non-Muslims because this is an opportunity to introduce ourselves, that are not familiar and so in the spirit of diversity we want to bring people together because we believe that if we bring people together that allows for people to not focus on what they hear, but have first-hand experience."

The International Museum of Muslim Cultures is a U.S. museum in Jackson, Mississippi. It is "America’s first Islamic history and culture museum". It was established in April 2001.
