Qur’an Scholars elevation through International Involvement

“The international involvement of Qur’an scholars, in addition to expanding the data and results of Qur’anic research, provides the basis for raising the level of scholars’ knowledge and religion,” said the selectee of the 15th International Congress of Women Qur’an Researcher from Afghanistan.

Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad, Iran) - According to Astan News correspondent, at the 15th International Congress of Women Qur’an Researcher, which was held at noon today in the Quds Hall of the Razavi Holy Shrine, Zakia Mahmoudi, one of the women selected by the conference from Afghanistan stated, “If the circles of knowing and study of Qur’an are implemented by Astan Quds Razavi internationally, researchers of this field can use the data and research results with greater convergence and synergy, which will increase their knowledge and religious level.”

While appreciating the heedfulness of the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi toward the role and the presence of women in various political, social, scientific, and cultural spheres she said, “Through this viewpoint, one could hope that in the future the grounds for the presence of women in different areas of the Qur’an and the knowledge, with the pursuit of Astan Quds Razavi would be more saturated.”

This Qur’anic scholar, then by presenting a report of her article on “Psychotherapy from the Qur’an and Psychology Points of View,” noted, “Given that mental illnesses are known as the century’s illness and in the present era and today’s world the problems of the society have led to the growing spread of psychological illnesses, I have been working with a cross-sectional study to examine this issue from two viewpoints of psychology and the holy Qur'an.”

At first, the topics of psychotherapy and various views of psychologists and psychoanalysts were studied, and then I spoke in the Qur’anic perspective, according to which it can be understood that the holy Qur’an takes a deeper and more general view than the psychology toward the psychotherapy subjects,” Mahmoudi expressed.

Psychology is newly emerged science and it is fairly young; however, the holy Qur’an with its 1400-year-old history has fully and unmitigatedly described the salvation rules of humanity and even it has put forward some valuable points in psychotherapy,” she added.

It is worth mentioning that at the 15th International Congress of Women Qur’an Researcher, nineteen prominent and distinguished researchers were appreciated who were ranked already and had brilliant background in the Qur’anic disciplines.
