Hawzah News Agency - Ali Erbaş, the head of Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), is visiting Qatar to attend the opening of an Islamic Cultural Centre.

Erbaş told reporters his visit also allowed the exchange of experiences between the Diyanet and Qatari Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the Peninsula said.

The head of Turkey’s religious body said that Qatar made efforts to teach the correct religious concepts to Muslims and said the two sides could cooperate in a number of areas, including education and humanitarian aid.

Erbas said the two sides are seeking more cooperation to serve Al Quds and Al Aqsa Mosque, and to cooperate in many charitable projects.
