Director of women’s Islamic seminary of Yazd province:

Director of women’s Islamic seminary of Yazd province said: In the new school year, the number of women Talaba (seminary students) in formal education rose by about 3,159 in the province.

Hawzah News Agency (Yazd, Iran) - Hojjat al-Islam Mohammad Kargar Shuraki, at the Zainabi conference in Yazd, which was held at the presence of Hojjat al-Islam Behjajpour, the director of the sisters' district, announced the establishment of the second level seminary schools (undergraduate Hawzah) in all 10 provinces of Yazd province.

He added: “Three schools in level three (master degree) are in Yazd, Ardakan and Meybod, and two Schools in fourth degree (PhDs) and 17 Schools in second degree (Bachelor) are working. And Yazd is one of the leading provinces in this field and two specialized doctoral centers have been set up in Meybod and Yazd.”

“In 17 level 2 schools (undergraduate) two thousands and 783 students study In the 3rd grade school in three cities there are 339 students, no statistics has announced for this year, but in the fourth level (PhD) schools in Yazd and Maybod, 39 students are studying.” He stated.

According to him, the number of graduates are more than 1,800 and the number of teachers are 406, also for the new academic year, there are nearly 1,000 students studying in the Islamic seminary, so far, 582 people have been successful in earning the grades needed to enter the second level.

Hojjat al-Islam Kargar Shuraki added: “currently 10 Islamic schools in Yazd province belong to Hawzah Seminary of women but they are not independent and we are hoping to witness building more institutions for women.”
