Hawzah News Agency (Cairo, Egypt) - Titled “Innovation in Issuing Fatwa, between Theory and Practice”, the conference was inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

It has been organized with the participation of scholars, Muftis and religious figures from 73 countries, Misrawi news website reported.

Egyptian Mufti Shawki Allam and the Arab country’s Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa were among the officials addressing the opening of the conference.

A workshop to analyze the “World Fatwa Charter” was held on the sidelines of the conference on the first day of the three-day event.
