Hawzah News Agency - One of the best-known French 20th century writer Maurice Dekobra, said about Imam Hussain (a.s.), “If our historians knew the truth about Ashura, they would not consider the mourning (ritual) as abnormal. Hussein’s followers consider it upon themselves as a duty not to accept disgrace, shame and the hegemony of colonial powers because it is their leader’s motto not to surrender to injustice, despotism and tyranny.”

 

Maurice Dekobra was a French writer. His real name was Maurice Tessier. Seen as a subversive writer in the 1920s and 1930s, he became one of the best-known French writers between the First and the Second World Wars. His books have been translated into 77 languages.
