Hawzah News Agency  - Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme in a message expressed condolences over death of Iranian environmentalists in forest fire.

'Deeply saddened to learn of the tragic deaths of Iranian environmentalists and rangers – heroes who risked their lives to protect our environment. They were killed while fighting a forest fire in Marivan,' Erik Solheim wrote in his Twitter account on Monday.

The fire in Marivan, western Iran on Saturday has claimed the lives of 2 environmentalists and 2 other officials named Sharif Bajoor, Omid Kohnehpooshi, Rahmat Hakiminia and Mohammad Pajoohi.
