Hawzah News Agency (Ray, Tehran) - During the visit, made on the first day of the Government Week, they laid a wreath on the tomb of the late Imam and recite prayers.

They also renewed allegiance with the lofty ideals of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 Delivering a speech, Rouhani underlined continuation of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) way and said that the government will take stronger steps in serving the great Iranian nation than before.

“Today, we are beginning the 2nd year of the 12th administration between the two great festivals of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Ghadir and we hope that we can follow the path of our dear and great Imam Khomeini (RA),” he said, according to president.ir.

Stressing that in the current situations of the country, region and world, there is a need to reiterate Imam Khomeini’s words and way, Rouhani added, “Our dear, great Imam Khomeini taught us the way of hope and all of his words were about hope for the future”.

“If our late Imam did not have hope, he couldn’t endure 10 months of confinement with high spirits and if he wasn’t hopeful, he couldn’t take 14 years of exile,” he continued.

“Imam Khomeini knew that the great Iranian nation, with their ancient culture and faith in God and the spirit of devotion, can overcome all issues and problems,” added the president.
