 Leader assigns new IDO chief

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei appointed Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Qomi as the head of the Islamic Development Organization.

Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran) - In a decree on Sunday, the Leader appointed the new IDO chief and described the organization as one of the main outgrowths of the Islamic Revolution and hailed its services in the past four decades.

Ayatollah Khamenei added that presenting and promoting Islamic teachings and culture with an eye on the needs of the day and with the use of innovative methods is among the main missions of the IDO.

The Leader also underlined the need for the organization to monitor and smartly counter the ideological, cultural and media onslaughts of the enemies of Islam, the Revolution and the country.

Hojat-ol-Islam Qomi replaced Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mahdi Khamoushi as the new IDO chief.
