Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - At the press conference of management center of Iran’s Islamic seminary which was held at Hawzah News Agency office in Qom, Hujjat al-Islam Abbas Raf’ati said, “Unlike other academic centers, Islamic seminaries are not completely closed during summer; seminary students are busy with scientific, educational and promotional activities in the summer too.”
Spokesman of the management center of Iran’s Islamic seminaries stated, “This year, summer activities have grown dramatically comparing to the past few years, with about 17,000 seminary students and professors active in seminaries this summer.”
Announcing that seminary majors are going to increase fourfold, Hujjat al-Islam Raf’ati expressed hope that the new directive, called “tree of specialized fields of seminary sciences”, help the seminary thrive scientifically. He noted, “About 200 majors have been recognized in this directive.”
Spokesman of the management center of Iran’s Islamic seminaries asserted, “It is anticipated that in 2036, Iran’s seminaries will have 300,000 seminary students and scholars.”
Hujjat al-Islam Raf’ati emphasized the seminary’s independence and said all the scholars, sources of emulation and the supreme leader stress on this.
