Hawzah News Agency - A sum of nine militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) were killed or wounded in Turkish airstrikes in Northern Iraq, a military source said on Friday.
In a statement, the Turkish General Staff said the warplanes targeted PKK positions in Hakurk-Kani Rash region, killing or wounding nine gunmen.
Shelters, hideouts and weapon depots were also destroyed, the statement added.
Separately, in the Southeastern Van province, security forces detained a wounded PKK terrorist following a clash late Thursday.
The PKK resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.
