Hawzah News Agency (Beirut, Lebanon) - Sheikh Nabil Qaouk, a senior member of Hezbollah's Executive Council, condemned the Saudi-led coalition for recent killings of Yemeni people and said the Riyadh regime has turned Muslims’ Eid al-Fitr into “a bloody slaughter” in Yemen, the Arabic-language El-Nashra news website reported.
He further emphasized that Al Saud ruling dynasty is pursuing a policy in line with plots hatched against regional nations, particularly the Palestinian people.
Qaouk also pointed to a joint plot by Washington, Tel Aviv, and Riyadh and said the conspiracy is doomed to failure thanks to the resistance of the regional nations.
The Saudi-led coalition and its mercenaries began a massive operation on Wednesday to bring Yemen’s western port city of Hudaydah under their control.
While the Yemeni army and popular committees are fighting off the assailants and countering attacks on residential areas, international humanitarian organizations have warned of dire consequences of any escalation of violence around Hudaydah.
UN Humanitarian Coordinator Lise Grande has announced that “as many as 250,000 people may lose everything -even their lives,” if there is a military attack on Hudaydah.
