Iran’s  representative to leave for Algeria for Int’l Quran contest

Iran's representative in Algeria's international Quran competition will leave Tehran for the North African country on Monday.

Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran) – Mohammad Mahmoudi, who is a memorizer of the entire Quran, will be accompanied by his father in the trip.

Born in 2001 in Tabriz, northwest Iran, Mahmoudi started learning the Quran by heart at an early age and became a memorizer of the entire Holy Book at the age of 9.

 

 

He represented the Islamic Republic in Kuwait's international Quran contest in 2016 but failed to win any of the top ranks.

The 15th edition of Algeria's international Quran competition will be held in Algeria's later this week.

 

 

Last year, Mohammad Ali Eslami competed for Iran in the international Quranic event and came fifth.
