Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad, Iran) - The head of the Research and Representation Office said, “The Holy Qur'an, engraved on 85 pieces of Najaf pearl stones, is one of the works that are on display in the Qur’an Hall of the Supreme Leader's Gifts Museum.”
“The panel with dimensions: 71 × 51 cm, with each part or portion of a part of Qur'an, is engraved on Najaf pearl stone and each of the five pieces of the stones in a flower-shaped metal strip is placed on the background of a wooden latticed tableau,” Javad Farahmand Nejad said about this work.
“This calligraphy tableau on which Sura Yas is written in the form of a calligraphy circle bears the logo of Organization of Islamic Cooperation,” he said, also pointing to the calligraphy of Sura Yas on the parchment.
The calligraphy of Surah al-Hamad, by Karamali Shirazi, is another work that Farahmand Nejad referred to and said, “This calligraphic work in dimensions 180 × 180 cm and in Nastaliq calligraphy is painted with oil paints on the canvas, the background of which consists of earthen patterns in gold color and the original text is in red.”
“There are many works centered on Qur'an in the Supreme Leader's Gifts Museum, which adorned this collection, including the calligraphy of the 30th part of Holy Qur'an, along with Surah Tawḥīd in the center, which is created in 87 × 87 cm” the head of the Research and Representation Office expressed.
“The creator of the work using the brown ink, has written the 30th part of the Qur’an on the upper and the left side of the canvas diagonally and in the lines parallel to each other in Nastaliq calligraphy and in the center of the canvas, the Surah of al-Tawḥīd is written using black ink and in Shekasteh Nastaʿlīq in a circular shape,” Javad Farahmand Nejad added.
He also referred to the Qur'an engraved on the granite stone, which is kept at the Museum of Supreme Leader’s Gifts, as one of the other works of the Qur'anic Museum and said, “This Qur’an on 114 pieces of black granite with a diameter of 92 cm is engraved with embroidery needle and its lines are gold plated.”
Farahmand Nejad called the calligraphy of Surah Al-Baqara on a triangular stone, as another Qur'anic work in the museum in dimensions of 35, widths 6 to 19 and 5.5 cm in diameter.
“This work, which it is difficult to read with the naked eye, is laid on a Khatam-Kari frame of 90 × 42.7 cm,” he said
He highlighted the inscribed Qur'anic pamphlet written on the wood, dimensions: 45 × 33 cm that includes forty Surahs of the Qur'an, which are written with the intention that marks the beginning of Prophet’s (S.A.W.) mission on forteen wooden pages in the name of the Infallible Imams (A.S.), and it is one of the other works of the Astan Quds Razavi Museum centered on the verses of the Qur'an.
“The above works are on display for the public in the museum of Qur’an and the Supreme Leader’s Gifts,” Javad Farahmand Nejad remarked.
