Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani met with the head of the Construction Basij Organization and a group of the officials from Qom's Imam Ali Brigades of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and noting that one of the important issues in mankind life is building oneself, he explained, "Because God Almighty has placed many aptitudes in mankind and, on the other hand, mankind has been created free, his aptitudes must be activated." 

The revered source of emulation added, "In order to build mankind, the prophets first tried to strengthen faith in the people because faith is an heartfelt and spiritual fervour which creates a motivation within mankind. For this reason, the first step in building is to return to the humanistic heart."

Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said, “The second principle of morality is that the souls of mankind can be reformed and the third principle is action and work. We cannot advance through laziness, weakness and lack of will to act. Just as the late Imam [Khomeyni] said, ‘We are ordered to act, not to [achieve] a result.’”

Referring to the Quran’s emphasis on action and work, the prominent teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom stated, "The Holy Quran has commanded us to protect everything that has been difficult for us to achieve. For this reason, we must protect the Islamic Revolution, which we achieved with such difficulty and which we fought various wars for, with our entire being."

His Eminence emphasized that protecting the Islamic Revolution means protecting its standards and features and noted, "Therefore, you must also train members of the Basij to protect the Islamic Revolution with power. Our enemies, especially the Zionists, have been opposed to Islam from the very beginning and this animosity against our Islamic Revolution continues today. Thus, we must be awake and vigilant, lest their tricks, plots and deception affect us."

Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani emphasized, "Today, the Americans have treated the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as a plaything because they approached [the negotiations] with deception from the beginning. For this reason, we must always be intellectually prepared and equipped against the enemies."

Arguing that production and employment at the highest level must be established for our country, he pointed out, “Our nation and our government must move towards the orders of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] and we have repeatedly recommended the importance of domestic production to the authorities.”
