Ayat. Hakim receives Iranian Culture Minister

“Authorities must treat people in a respectful and caring way; they must set aside the difference and tolerate those who have different opinions with them. These differences should not become source of division or disagreement within one nation.” said Grand Ayatollah Hakim.

Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – Senior Iraqi cleric Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Saeed al-Hakim received Iranian Minister of Culture Dr Abbas Salehi and his accompanying delegation in his office in the holy city of Najaf on Friday, April 20.

 

During the meeting the Iraqi source of emulation asserted, “Authorities must treat people in a respectful and caring way; they must set aside the difference and tolerate those who have different opinions with them. These differences should not become source of division or disagreement within one nation.”

 

Elsewhere in his remarks, Grand Ayatollah al-Hakim spoke on Arbaeen pilgrimage and the way it resolves social differences among people from different countries saying, “During Arbaeen pilgrimage, all Shia Muslims from around the world who take part in this great event feel as if they belong to a unified nation; that’s because all their intentions are the same and they are all walking to the holy shrine of a great Imam who sacrificed his life to restore genuine Islamic values.”

 

In the end, Iranian Culture of Minister Dr Salehi thanked Iraqi cleric saying, “Your valuable guidelines and suggestions will have manifest results in the future of our responsibilities.”
