Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Shia cleric Hujjat al-Islam Mahmoud Rajabi, on Tuesday, April 17, made some remarks on the upcoming International Quran Contest for Muslim Students which is going to be held in Qom, Iran saying, "Clerics and seminary students must serve as guides in religious, cultural, political as well as social affairs."

 

 Member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom further noted, "Holding this Quranic competition in Qom as the center of Shia World indicates Qom's special attention to Quran and promoting its valuable teachings; This competition also highlights the fact that reciting Quran is considered as a great deed in Ahlubayt's (as) doctrine."

 

The Vice Chairman of Imam Khomeini Educational Institute in Qom went on, "Organizing the International Quran Contest for Muslim Students is a wise move since it accelerates the process of promoting the religious and Quranic culture among clerics throughout the Islamic world."

 

 Hujjat al-Islam Rajabi also expressed hope that this Quranic contest paves the way for future events to strengthen proximity among Islamic sects and Muslim leaders in the light of holy Quran.
