Georgian lady converts to Islam at Razavi Shrine

Attending office of non-Iranian pilgrims’’ affairs of Astan Quds Razavi and reciting twin formulae of faith, a Georgian young lady who was visiting Razavi Shrine for the first time converted to Islam.

Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad, Iran) - Attending Razavi Holy Shrine, Mariami Jawakhishvili, a 19 year old lady from Georgia’s Tbilisi, acknowledged to the uniqueness of the God, prophecy of Islam prophet (S.A.W.), Imamate of Hazrat Ali (A.S.), and finally converted to Islam”.
Mariami who was born in a Christian family and has some familiarity with Islam since the time of her childhood talked about her conversion and said, “My grandmother converted to Islam years ago. She, doing devotional works, got me interested in this religion”. 
Mariami added, “Some of my friends are also Muslim. I, however, became more decisive in my choice when I got familiar with an Iranian family and its lifestyles and customs”. 
She introduced Muslims’ good behavior and their adherence to worshiping as reasons behind her conversion and mentioned, “I am trying my best to know Islam better so that I can get understood about Islam’s truth”. 
This newly converted lady expressed his hope over her Islamic Hijab and introduced it as something valuable. She also added, “Although I am not accustomed to this kind of clothing, it’s comfortable for me and I feel more sense of beauty with it”. 
It is worth mentioning that the management of non-Iranian pilgrims’ affairs of Astan Quds Razavi offered this new Muslim convert an exquisite copy of Quran in Russian, prayer rug, and cultural gifts.
