CAIR urges Americans to oppose the appointment of anti-Muslim John Bolton as NSA

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), criticized President Trump’s appointment of John Bolton as the White House National Adviser (NSA) .

Hawzah News Agency (Washington D.C, US) The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), criticized President Trump’s appointment of John Bolton as the White House National Adviser (NSA) who replaced H.R. McMaster on Thursday.

CAIR released a statement saying Bolton is a famous Islamophobe and has relations with anti-Muslim extremist organizations.

“We urge Americans across the political spectrum to speak out against the appointment of John Bolton as White House National Security Adviser because of his ties to anti-Muslim bigots and his promotion of extremist views that will inevitably harm our nation and that could lead to unnecessary and counterproductive international conflicts,” said CAIR in a statement.

Nihad Awad, CAIR National Executive Director, said that, “Bolton is the last person who should be entrusted with this critically-important position, which requires sound judgment and a fact-based approach to national security matters.”

Awad also added that CAIR is concerned about the safety of American Muslims and other minority communities given that the appointment of Bolton as an adviser to the White House is a cause for worry since the white supremacist administration is already Islamophobic.
