Permeant secretariat of Int’l Quran contest for students planned

A permanent secretariat for the international Quran competition for school students of the Muslim world will be established in Iran soon, an official said.

Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran) - Mohammad Reza Mosayyebzadeh said the secretariat will be launched by the end of the current Iranian year (March 21).

He highlighted the successful organization of the 5th edition of the contest in Iran last year and said the permanent secretariat will help to further improve the contest.

Mosayyebzadeh also underlined the role of Quran competitions in promoting the Islamic culture among school students since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Fars reported.

The 5th edition of the international Quran competition for the Muslim world’s school students was held in April 2017.

School students from 30 countries attended the Quranic event at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla (prayer hall) in Tehran.
