 The Fatemi Ladies Specialized Database Launched in Digital Library of Astan Quds Razavi

On occasion of the birthday anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (s.a.), the "Fatemi Ladies" specialized database on Astan Quds Razavi digital library initiated.

Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad, Iran) - Director of digital library of Astan Quds Razavi said, "The database was launched for quick and easy access of researchers and students to the sources available in the Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documentation Center of Astan Quds Razavi with a focus on "Women in Islam ". 

 


Ali Zarrabi continued, "Currently, there are more than 1,500 digital information sources, including Persian and Arabic printed books, and dissertations in this base, that are intended to become richer with other sources over time."


 Referring to opening of "Reihanat al-Nabi" database last year at this library he added, "The digital database has 1100 information sources including printed books in Persian and Arabic publications, Latin books and dissertations, focused on the subject of Fatemeh (SA), that is available to researchers from around the world."

 


 Stating that this source contains all the latest knowledge especially in the field of Astan Quds Razavi, the Imams (a.s.), Islam and Iran, Zarrabi said, "At the end of Bahman this year, the total number of digital sources in the digital library system of Astan Quds Razavi has amounted to 2 million and 370 thousand sources."


Digital sources of this library are based in different databases of printed books, stone printed books, handwritten books, dissertations, documents, pictures, etc., as well as contents on the Prophet (s.a.w ), Imam Ali (a.s.),  miracle, the Islamic Revolution, and the sacred defense", he continued. 

 

 


"The ancient sources such as handwritten manuscripts, stone printed books, and printed books before 1320 can be requested and studied through digital library of Astan Quds Razavi,  and the rest of sources can be presented to real entites through document delivery services section of the library. Also organizations can have access to available information as legal entities using the IP subscription", he remarked. 


 The director of the digital library of Astan Quds Razavi emphasized that the library ranked first in the country in terms of the number of sources among other digital libraries, adding that its sources are more diverse than other digital libraries in Iran.

 


 He noted that the enthusiasts can refer to Astan Quds Razavi Digital Library website at digital.aqr.ir to access the Fatemi Women Digital database.
