Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad, Iran) - Imam Reza (as) International University has upgraded 221 steps from July 2017 to be ranked 7,116 at world-class level, according to the January 2018 ranking of Universities of the World, which was announced by the Webometrics Center in Spain. 

 Based on the results of this center, also Imam Reza (as) University ranked 505 among Middle Eastern universities. 

The rating is based on four criteria of indexed pages from the university site in Google, weighing 5%, the number of links referenced to the university site with a weight of 50%, research indicators of total citations to the articles of the ten top university researcher according to the citations in "Google scholar citations" weighing 10%, and the number of articles of the university in Scopus, which is among top 10% based on the citations, weighing 35%. 

The university has already upgraded to 7337, with 42 steps ranking improvement, according to the July 2017 world university ranking, which was announced by the Webometrics Center of Spain.
