Hawzah News Agency (Cairo, Egypt) - The 28th conference of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs was held on Monday and Tuesday in Cairo.
Scholars, thinkers and experts from over 50 countries attended the event, titled "Terrorism Industry and Mechanism for Combatting It".
The closing statement of the conference the need for efforts by governments to combat terrorism and counter the challenges on that path.
It said societies are also duty bound to stand against the inauspicious phenomenon.
The statement also called for stopping financial and other forms of support for terror groups and using social media to raise awareness about how to combat terrorism.
