“Hijab is addressed in the holy Quran, Islamic narrations as well as in Ahlulbayt's (as) way of life; it is considered as one of Islamic principles; it’s a religious value that must be practiced and observed within the society.” said Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani in Qom.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Speaking at his advanced Islamic jurisprudence course in Qom's Grand Mosque on Wednesday, February 28, senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani elaborated on the issue of Hijab in Islam saying, "I have already addressed the issue of Hijab in our previous sessions, what I meant by pointing out this critical issue was that the Islamic tradition of enjoining good must be actually practiced in the society."

The senior scholar further added, "Hijab is addressed in the holy Quran, Islamic narrations as well as in Ahlulbayt's (a.s.) way of life; it is considered as one of Islamic principles; it's a religious value that must be practiced and observed within the society."

The Shia source of emulation went on, “It is essential that Islamic Hijab be observed and realized within the society same as other Islamic principles. The authorities who are in charge of the society must make effort to make sure that Hijab is maintained and promoted in the whole country.”
