IOF kidnaps Palestinians in West Bank campaigns

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Sunday kidnapped several Palestinian citizens, including children, during campaigns in different West Bank areas.

Hawzah News Agency (Occupied territories)- In a statement, the Israeli army claimed that its forces arrested six wanted Palestinians accused of being involved in resistance activities against Israel.

The IOF raided several homes in different areas of the West Bank, while an Israeli military post near Sa’ir town, northeast of al-Khalil city, was attacked with a Molotov cocktail.

The Hebrew media said that the Molotov cocktail burst into flames near the military post, without causing material damage to the place.

Consequently, the IOF stormed some neighborhoods in al-Khalil city and ransacked homes, with no reported arrests.

In Bethlehem, the IOF raided homes in Tuqu town and kidnapped two children under age 17 identified as Mahmoud al-Amour and Mohamed al-Sha’er.

The IOF also handed 12-year-old Saif al-Amour a summons for interrogation from the Shin Bet after searching his parents’ house in the same town.

In Qalqilya, two teenagers were reportedly kidnapped from their homes during an IOF campaign in the city. The boys were identified as Hamed Adwan and Mohamed Adwan from the neighborhood of Kafr Saba.

In Tulkarem, local sources said that several young university students were taken prisoners during an IOF raid on their residence.

Since the US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the occupied territories in the West Bank and Jerusalem have been seeing escalating arrests and raids on homes conducted almost on a daily basis by the Israeli military and security authorities.

End.
