Grand Ayat Makarem

"Fatimiyah Days are commemorated every year; however, we must not always point out the difficulties of Lady Fatima's (sa) life, this is not enough to just talk about all the hardship that this noble lady went through in life, rather we must also elaborate on her Excellency's valuable life lessons for mankind." said Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Speaking at his advanced jurisprudence course in Qom's Grand Mosque on Wednesday, February 21, senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi made some remarks on the noble character of Lady Fatima (sa) on the occasion of Fatimiyah Days saying, "According to Islamic teachings, the issue of forgiveness and compromise is of great importance since it is truly influential in life."

The Shia source of emulation further hailed Muslims for commemorating Fatimiyah Days by holding ceremonies and said, "Fatimiyah Days are commemorated every year; however, we must not always point out the difficulties of Lady Fatima's (sa) life, this is not enough to just talk about all the hardship that this noble lady went through in life, rather we must also elaborate on her Excellency's valuable life lessons for mankind."

Reiterating that Lady Fatima (sa) in her sermon of Fadak emphasized on three distinct points, Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said," The first point in that sermon is Lady Fatima's (sa) bravery who, at the age of 18, despite the fact that her excellency has gone through so much hardship and difficulties in life, delivers a great speech whose audience were totally impressed by her courageous words."

The senior Shia cleric continued by saying that, "The sermon of Fadak is a comprehensive one which includes all Islamic principles; Lady Fatima (sa), regardless of her sorrow for the death of her father, delivered this sermon to elaborate on the principles of Islam."
