۱۰۰ Questions about Islam’ Presented at Cairo International Book Fair

Egypt's Al-Azhar Islamic Center has presented a book titled "100 Questions about Islam" at the ongoing international book fair in Cairo.

Hawzah News Agency (Cairo, Egypt) - The book by Sheikh Mohammed Al-Ghazali, an eminent Egyptian scholar, has been translated into 13 languages.

It is in the form of questions that deal with Islam and Islam-related issues.

 

Some of the questions answered in the book are: What is Islam? And why is it called Islam?; How does Islam define life and death?; How does the Holy Quran influence the way human beings think?; Can Islam offer solutions for the major problems facing the humanity nowadays?; How did Islam promote human rights?; What is the issue of war and peace in Islam?; Is believing in the prophets and holy books that came before Muhammad (PBUH) necessary in Islam? And why is it so?; How does Islam view Jews and Christians?; What is charity (Al Zakah) ruled for? And when is it due?;  How does Islam view women, especially under the prevailing status of the contemporary society?

 

Sheikh Mohammed al-Ghazali al-Saqqa (1917–1996), was an Islamic cleric and scholar whose writings have influenced generations of Egyptians.

 

This is the second year that Al-Azhar Islamic Center attends the international book fair in Cairo with the aim of disseminating moderation and peaceful coexistence and clarifying concepts of justice, brotherhood, friendship and peace.

It has put on display various publications of the center including religious magazines, academic books, panorama pictures of the city, and books on the center's activities.
